Octa celebrated it’s 50th anniversary with its National Staff Conference and Client Function in Christchurch. Octa’s founder William Cockerill who still actively serves within the company, noted that the iconic venue the Christchurch Town Hall was completed just before the company’s foundation and whose restoration after the Christchurch Earthquake was led by Octa. William noted Octa’s pioneering role as New Zealand’s first independent professional project management consultancy, and noted that he was looking forward to the next fifty years.

Current Octa Managing Director Vernon Lu commented that it was yet another record year for the company, and thanked the attendees including all the clients and other project team partners who made this possible. Vernon also noted Octa’s continued investment in systems and training and development, in order to maintain and improve client service and project outcomes.
