The Otago Settlers Museum Redevelopment

Octa were engaged by the Dunedin City Council to complete a comprehensive Issues and Options Study of the Otago Settlers Museum.  This outlined a process to develop and expand the Museum to address eight strategic objectives.  The outcome of the study was a staged implementation plan to provide new collections storage facilities, entrance / lobby, galleries and a more coherent exhibition story. 

The Otago Settlers Museum is the sole institution within the City of Dunedin and region dedicated to preserving, presenting and promoting the social history, heritage and culture of Dunedin.

The design work is well advanced with construction of Stage 1 to proceed in mid 2008.
