Octa Associates were engaged to manage the Waitakere Central Library & Unitec Facilities project from concept through to occupation by Waitakere City Council (WCC) and Unitec staff.  The scope included the relocation of the WCC historical archives, integration of all systems and the centralising of city wide professional staff into a single location.

The project was broken into 4 parts, spread over a 7000 sqm site, including a $8.5 million three level 3565 sqm central flagship library, $13.5 million five level 5500 sqm teaching building, $7.5 million seven level carpark building with over 300 carparks and $1.5 million of external landscaping.

Octa Associates also managed the Project Control Group (PCG) to bring together all the requirements of the different users.
